Accounting, tax and consulting firm is hiring for a Senior Tax Associate! They are a solutions-based firm that keeps a positive space, always. The Senior Tax Associate will support the firm’s clients in the duties listed below and provide support to the staff they work with. Some duties listed below are subject to the department the Associate primarily works in.
As a Senior Tax Associate, you will:
- Process Federal and State compliance reporting.
- Follow strict guidelines regarding file management and client confidentiality.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
- Perform mid-level general ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data and reports, identify and correct errors made by both internal and external personnel.
- Prepare special financial reports as requested by management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information.
- Apply new accounting policies and ensure compliance with rules and regulations.
- Understand and research basic to moderately complex tax concepts and their applications.
- Establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, vendors, and members of the public.
- Prepare and file federal and state tax returns for individuals and entities
- Train entry level team members
- Other tasks as assigned

Job Details Requirements:
- BS in Accounting or Finance
- MBA and/or CPA is highly preferred
- 3+ YOE in a similar role and interest in client management skills
- Experience with a public accounting firm a plus
- Regularly use Thomson Reuters CS Professional Suite (Ultra Tax) with proficiency
- Regularly use QuickBooks with proficiency
- Proficiency with or the ability to learn tax accounting and preparation software.
- Knowledge of GAAP
