Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of trucks including flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers.
• Load and unload freight securely and efficiently.
• Plan routes and manage delivery schedules to ensure timely arrival at destinations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues that may arise.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.

Skills

• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in truck driving roles.
• Familiarity with various types of trucks including dump trucks, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers.
• Strong knowledge of route driving and freight handling procedures.
• Ability to load and unload cargo safely while following best practices for handling goods.
• Excellent navigational skills with the ability to read maps and use GPS technology effectively.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, dispatchers, and team members.
• A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
