Job Title: Maintenance Engineer (1st Shift)

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Engineer to join our team. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on commercial HVAC systems, as well as handling general building maintenance tasks across multiple sites. This position varies on experience but pays up to $32/hr.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• (Hours may vary depending on work order demand)
• Occasional emergency call response may be required during nights and weekends.
• (This is rare due to the nature of the facilities being closed during those times. Coverage will be arranged if the technician is unavailable.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on commercial HVAC units.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC system issues.
• Conduct general maintenance tasks such as:
  • Replacing light bulbs and lighting ballasts
  • Repairing or replacing toilets
  • Snaking drains
• Travel locally between 25+ commercial sites, primarily bank buildings and office environments.
• Maintain a professional and client-facing demeanor at all times.

Tools & Uniform:

• All necessary tools will be provided.
• Uniforms are provided, including branded shirts and work pants.
• Comfortable work boots required (steel toes not required).

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in HVAC maintenance and general building maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple sites.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
