Job Description

This full-time Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) opportunity supports students across grades K12 in a school setting. Serving in an itinerant role, the COTA will assist the district Occupational Therapist (OT) throughout the 25/26 school year, providing essential therapy services that promote student success and well-being.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering occupational therapy assistance to students in grades K12
• Collaborating closely with the district OT to implement therapy plans
• Traveling between assigned school sites within the district as needed
• Monitoring and documenting student progress to ensure effective intervention
• Participating in team meetings and contributing to individualized education programs (IEPs)

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Current New Mexico Public Education Department (NM PED) certification as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
• Experience working in a school environment with K-12 students
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in an itinerant capacity
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Location: Tijeras, New Mexico
