Job Description

A full-time Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) position is available for the 25/26 school year in a K-12 educational setting located in Edgewood, NM. This contract role involves providing therapy services to students across all grade levels, from kindergarten through 12th grade.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services as part of a school-based team
• Assist the district Occupational Therapist in managing a diverse caseload
• Provide itinerant therapy support to students with individualized needs
• Collaborate with educators and staff to support student development and educational goals

Qualifications:

• Current certification as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
• Valid New Mexico Public Education Department (PED) certification for Occupational Therapy Assistants in schools
• Experience working with school-aged children across multiple grade levels (K-12)
• Ability to work effectively in an itinerant role, traveling between school sites as needed
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with district therapists and school personnel
