The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at Butterball, LLC provides onsite medical care, conducts health screenings, and promotes wellness and safety for team members in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities include treating workplace injuries, coordinating with company physicians, managing medical supplies and equipment, and supporting return-to-work programs. The role also involves conducting safety trainings, drug and alcohol testing, and maintaining detailed medical documentation to ensure employee health and compliance with safety regulations.

Provides medical care to associates, conducts screenings, promotes wellness, and performs safety and health functions. Helps promote and maintain team member health. Maintains a weekly presence on the production floor.
Key ResponsibilitiesPromotes and schedules wellness activities, including participation in Health Fairs and Shift Safety meetings. Supports Safety & Health goals.
Treats team member injuries/incidents per occupational health directives and scope of practice. Monitors work related injuries and ensures team members are seen at a minimum of once per week or per directives.
Contacts company physicians as necessary (i.e., restriction clarification, after hour emergencies, etc.).
Assists with trend analysis to identify opportunities for improving safety.
Schedules CPR/first aid training and HazMat physicals.
Conducts Drug and Alcohol tests, audiometric tests, and various other wellness tests.
Administers return-to-work program and Management Accountability program.
Ensures all necessary medical supplies are available and in working order. Regularly checks and maintains medical equipment.
May maintain safety data sheet books.
Completes all medical documentation and data entry including patient care reports.
Assists with new hire orientation and conducts new hire checks daily.
Serves as a Voluntary Protection Program team member.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
