We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Controller to join our team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of our company's financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal laws. This role will require a hands-on approach with a focus on inventory accounting, manufacturing, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and leading the month-end close process.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Manage and monitor all accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Perform inventory accounting tasks, ensuring that all inventory is accurately reported and valued.
• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
• Conduct bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring that all financial reports are accurate and completed on time.
• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and guidance.
• Prepare and present financial reports to the management team, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
• Participate in financial audits, providing necessary information and addressing any issues identified by auditors.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in inventory accounting, manufacturing, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data and provide insightful recommendations.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly and effectively communicate financial information to non-financial colleagues.
• High level of integrity and dependability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
• CPA certification is a plus.
