We are seeking an experienced AV Engineer to join our fast growing team. The AV Engineer will be responsible for designing, configuring, commissioning, and supporting commercial audio-visual systems for a wide range of clients across sectors such as corporate, education, healthcare, and government.

This role requires both technical expertise and project coordination skills to ensure that AV systems meet performance specifications, user requirements, and industry standards.

The role requires hands-on experience combined with system design, strong troubleshooting abilities, and an in-depth understanding of AV architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• System Design & Engineering- Create AV system designs based on client needs, including drawings, signal flow diagrams, and equipment lists.
• Technical Documentation- Develop detailed system schematics, rack elevations, and integration documents using AutoCAD and REVIT
• Site Surveys & Assessments- Conduct pre-installation site visits to evaluate space, cabling, power, and installation requirements.
• Collaborate with Sales Team- Provide support for the sales team in client meetings and proposal development.
• Collaborate with Project Teams- Collaborate with PMs, technicians, and installers to ensure systems are implemented according to plan.
• Technology Research- Stay current on AV industry trends, emerging technologies, and manufacturer updates.

Skills & Experience

• Commercial AV Experience-3–7+ years of experience in AV system design, engineering, and installation in a commercial integration environment.
• Extensive knowledge of AV Technologies- Hands-on experience with configuring equipment from manufacturers such as Crestron, Q-SYS, Shure, and Cisco.
• Project Skills-Strong knowledge of AV signal flow, audio/video routing, control systems, and display technologies.
• Communication skills- Able to clearly communicate project information to the sales team and to the client.
• Technical Proficiency- Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD, REVIT, and Bluebeam, as well as MS Teams and MS Office.
• Certifications- AVIXA CTS-I and CTS-D certification required or able to obtain within the first year.
